The University of St. Francis, a Catholic, Franciscan institution in Joliet, Illinois, invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Psychology to begin August 2017. This is a tenure-track position with a 24-credit-hour teaching load per academic year (August to May), with a competitive compensation and benefit package.

USF offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs serving traditional-aged and adult students through a variety of learning formats. Small class sizes and a student-centered philosophy characterize the USF experience. The Department of Psychology offers three undergraduate major degree programs: Psychology (B.A.), Substance Abuse Counseling (B.A.), and Industrial/Organizational Psychology (B.A.); and two undergraduate minor degree programs: Psychology and Gerontology.

Teach 12 credits each semester in Psychology, including introductory psychology and courses from among the topics of social psychology, developmental psychology, gerontology, industrial/organizational psychology, and general education/foundational courses; provide student advising and mentorship; engage in appropriate service and scholarship necessary for success on the tenure track; demonstrate commitment to building a collaborative and collegial environment.
