Retirement: The University contributes 4% of the regular salary with up to 3% of additional matched contributions into the TIAA Retirement Program. Other benefits include tuition remission for employee, spouse, and employee's dependent children under the age of 25 (this does not include the last two year of the PharmD program or the JD), and twenty days of paid medical leave per year.

Job Summary:
The successful applicant will be expected to teach courses in the areas of clinical and counseling psychology as well as courses such as introduction to psychology, research design, and other courses in their specialty area.

Scope:
The Department of Psychology, Sociology and Criminal Justice at Ohio Northern University invites applications for a tenure track position in clinical psychology at the rank of assistant professor.

Principal Responsibilities:
Candidates in all areas of clinical psychology will be considered; preference will be given to clinical psychologists specializing in adult psychopathology. The successful applicant will be expected to teach courses in the areas of clinical and counseling psychology as well as courses such as introduction to psychology, research design, and other courses in their specialty area. Applicants should be committed to excellence in teaching and to mentoring and advising undergraduate students. In addition, applicants will be expected to involve undergraduates in a program of research in their area.

Required Skills:
Strong commitment to excellence and innovation in teaching at the undergraduate level.

Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in hand is preferred, ABD will be considered

Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Psychology; university teaching experience; evidence of teaching effectiveness and scholarly publications.

Appointment Length: 9-months
