The Columbia Business School Behavioral Research Lab is looking to hire a new Lab Manager to oversee all Lab functions. This position is a full-time, salaried position to begin in July 2015.

Under the direction of faculty in the Business School, the candidate will have overall administrative responsibilities for managing the functions of the research study lab, including: scheduling all studies and participants, handling large sums of physical cash, maintaining lab equipment and computers, managing the subject pool, enforcing lab policies, overseeing the lab budget, hiring and managing research assistants, and maximizing lab efficiency.

The Lab Coordinator is responsible for enforcing adherence to IRB procedures and managing IRB protocols; developing web content and maintaining the lab's website, and assisting with participant recruitment efforts. Overall the Lab Coordinator needs to possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, the ability to work independently and without supervision, and a familiarity with a psychology lab setting.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all administrative and operations activities of the lab, including supervising staff and managing the purchasing budget; manages distribution of lab facilities to researchers, and handling all cash participant payments.

2. Advertise and recruit for subjects consistent with strict protocol criteria; schedule and coordinate recruitment events across campus; maintain and grow the existing subject database.

3. Liaison with the IRB to ensure compliance with research procedures, monitor and submit all lab IRB protocols and correspondence.

4. Organize research meetings, prepare progress reports, oversee research schedule within the lab.

2 - 3 years of related lab experience preferred, experience working with research subjects and IRB protocols preferred.Experience with commonly used research computer software (e.g., SONA, SPSS, DirectRT) and hardware a plus.. Degree in Psychology or other Behavioral Science also preferred.
