The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (http://www.psych.umass.edu) is inviting applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in its Social Psychology Division, starting in Fall, 2015. We are seeking talented applicants qualified for an assistant professor position. Under exceptional circumstances, highly qualified candidates at other ranks may receive consideration.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Social Psychology or a related discipline, an excellent record of research with a productive, federally-funded research program or evidence of the ability to establish one, a strong record of publishing in high impact peer-reviewed journals, and a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education. Applicants who work on affect and cognition, especially those who focus on affective and motivational processes (e.g., emotion regulation, self-regulation) and use a multi-method approach, are encouraged to apply. The multi-method approach might include behavioral and physiological methods (e.g., cardiovascular, EEG, fMRI, or hormonal measures).
