I have a vacancy for a postdoctoral researcher at Ghent University, Belgium. The position is part of a large (i.e., 3.6 million euro) research project on spontaneous preferences (i.e., implicit evaluations; see http://www.liplab.ugent.be/methusalem ). Topics that are addressed in the project include evaluative conditioning, evaluative learning on the basis of instructions, persuasion, the measurement of implicit evaluations, and the application of these issues in a variety of research disciplines, including clinical and health psychology, marketing, and political sciences.
The postdoc position will last two years, starting on 1 September 2014 at the latest. Pending a positive evaluation of the project, the position can be extended for a maximum period 7 years. Starting salary depends on prior academic experience, but will probably range between 2200 and 2900 euro per month after taxes. The main assignment of the postdoc is to conduct and publish research related to the topics of the project and to co-supervise the work of PhD students. Teaching and administration load will be minimal. Candidates should have a PhD in (social, learning, behavioral, or cognitive) psychology. They should have published in international journals on topics related to spontaneous preferences.
