The Psychology Program at Lewis-Clark State College, in Lewiston, Idaho, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Social Psychology to begin August 2014. Area of research interest is open, however, areas which complement current departmental interests are desirable, such as peace psychology, cross-cultural psychology, gender studies, or industrial/organizational psychology.

Candidates will have earned a doctorate in Social Psychology by September 1, 2014. Current ABD candidates will be considered provided completion of the doctorate by the date above. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in social psychology, their area of expertise, and to teach and mentor students through the three course research sequence required of all psychology majors. LCSC emphasizes quality instruction; thus successful candidates will be committed and enthusiastic about undergraduate teaching, with preference given to candidates with evidence of successful teaching experience. Teaching load is 4 courses per semester (24 credits per year), with some online teaching expected and advising and institutional service required.

LCSC is an undergraduate institution with a strong liberal arts tradition. The Psychology Program is housed in the Division of Social Sciences and is one of the largest majors on campus. Faculty are collegial and collaborative, and psychology majors regularly present research at regional, national, and international conferences.
