The Department of Psychology at Texas Christian University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Experimental Psychology (Area Open), at the level of Assistant Professor, beginning in August 2011. The ideal candidate would be able to apply advanced quantitative methodologies to the analysis of data from any of the following areas of research: Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, or Social Psychology. The successful applicant would be able to teach courses in advanced statistics (e.g., HLM or SEM) in addition to courses in their area of specialization. The Department of Psychology at TCU (www.psy.tcu.edu) consists of 14 faculty members who oversee a Ph.D. program. Candidates will be expected to supervise the research of graduate students, teach classes at graduate and undergraduate levels, and show promise for obtaining extramural funding for research. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with internationally recognized research institutes connected to the Department of Psychology.
