Elon University seeks applicants for a continuing track position in Social Psychology at the assistant professor level beginning mid-August 2020. Applicants should have completed or expect to complete a Ph.D. in Social Psychology or a related discipline by August 2020. Area of specialization is open. Candidates must show evidence of high-quality teaching at the undergraduate level. The ability to maintain a sustained research agenda that actively incorporates undergraduates into one’s program of research is essential. Teaching will include major requirements (e.g., Social Psychology, Introduction to Psychology, and Research Methods), special topics courses relating to one’s area of expertise, and courses in the Elon Core Curriculum. Candidates who have experience working with a diverse range of people, and who can contribute to the climate of inclusivity are encouraged to identify their experiences in their cover letter.
