 |  |  | Position Title: Editors and Editorial Interns Description of the Foundation and the App: The In-Mind Foundation is an international foundation that focuses on communicating social psychological findings to a wide audience by using digital media and new technologies (for the In-Mind vision, see here: http://beta.in-mind.org/). In addition to the foundation’s popular website, our most recent project is an app for the Android (downloadable here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.wligtenberg.inmind.quiz&hl=en) and the iPhone (downloadable here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/social-knowledge-thegame/id561508167?mt=8) called Social Knowledge: The Game. SocialK, as it is called in brief, contains daily true/false questions based on psychological research findings. Job Summary for Editors: Editors will work as part of an international team of psychologists to develop content for the app. As part of developing new content, editors will select research that is of interest to a broad audience, summarize journal articles and other scholarly material, develop true/false quiz items, and briefly communicate explanations for the true/false findings. Editors may have the opportunity to supervise editorial interns. Note that all our positions are on a voluntary basis, with flexible hours working remotely. This internship is a great opportunity for psychology graduate students to make connections in the field, develop science communication skills, stay on top of the latest findings, and spread their love of psychology to a broader audience. Minimum Skills and Requirements for Editors: • Completed Master’s level coursework in Psychology (preferably Social Psychology), preference given to students currently enrolled in PhD program. • Excellent reading comprehension and writing skills • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and responsible • Ability to work effectively toward common goals as a team member Job Summary for Editorial Interns: Editorial interns will work as part of an international team of psychologists to develop content for the app. As part of developing new content, interns will work with our Editors to summarize journal articles and other scholarly material, develop true/false quiz items, and briefly communicate these findings to a lay audience. We are willing to work with your home institution to give course credit for this internship.
