National Stereotypes Mini-Poll (for American students)
Posted by Olga

Hi everyone!

I am studying cultural psychology and I am interested in national stereotypes. I am writing a term paper about American-Russian stereotypes. That is why I really need your help.

Dear American students, (American students only, that’s important),

Please write down 4-5 statements that characterize Russians and 4-5 statements that characterize Americans. Then, try to predict what Russians think of Americans and write down your guesses.

I chose these two nations for my mini-research, because English and Russian are the only two languages I speak quite well. If you are ready to help me, ready to share your opinion, please write down your name or nickname, age, sex, name of the university where you are studying psychology (or something else) and your e-mail. Then write down your answers and guesses – it shouldn't take much time, but it will be extremely helpful to me and my future research in cultural psychology.

If you are interested in results I can share it with you after my work is finished.

Thanks for reading.

P. S. It would be great if you could ask your friends to take part in this poll too.
