 Re: The Stanford Prison Experiment

Hi, Last November I was locked in a 'prison' with 15 other guys for about two weeks as part of a major experiment which attempted to re-ennact the Stanford Prison Experiment. The experiment was backed and funded by the BBC and was devised and overlooked by two leading phycologists, we were filmed for 24 hours a day and the results are due to be part of a new four-part television series to be aired in May this year.

I was one of five guards and had the responsibility of maintaining control of 9 prisoners. The experience was unforgetable.

Unfortunately I can't tell you much about my experiences until after it is aired due to contractural obligations but if my experience or veiwpoint can help any of you out there studying the Stanford Prison Experiment then please contact me and after the show has gone out i will do all i can to help.

Keep your eyes peeled to BBC2, the first show will be aired on April 14th 2002.

Tom.
