Measures of Abstract vs. Concrete Construal Level
Posted by: Eugenia Gorlin

Dear colleagues,

My lab is currently designing a study that involves training highly ruminative participants to adopt different mental construal levels (e.g., abstract, concrete) when thinking about their personal goals. We're familiar with both the 25 and 13 item versions of Vallacher & Wegner's (1989) Behavior Identification Form (BIF), but wondered if anyone happens to know of any other measures of current construal level that would be expected to show sensitivity to a manipulation?

Many thanks in advance,
Gena
