Call for Data: Meta-Analysis Stereotype Threat in Children

Dear Colleagues,

We are in the process of doing a meta-analysis on the effect of stereotype threat on mathematical test performance for children and adolescents in the gender context.

To meet our inclusion criteria the study needs to involve (1) a group of girls aged 4-18, (2) a manipulated stereotype threat of some sort (either explicit or implicit), (3) random allocation to treatment or control conditions, and (4) performance on a test related to gender stereotypes (Mathematical Test, Mental Rotation Task, Physics Test, Arithmetic Test, etc.).

If you have any unpublished work that is relevant, we would really appreciate it if you could contact us, so that we can include your work in our review. For any questions or remarks you can contact us at P.C.Flore@tilburguniversity.edu.

Thanks.

Kind regards,

Paulette Flore and Jelte Wicherts – Tilburg University
