Call for Papers - Emotional Expression: The Brain and The Face (Volume 8)

Dear Colleagues,

The Facial Emotion Expression Lab (FEELab) at the University Fernando Pessoa Health Sciences School on behalf of his Head, Professor Freitas-Magalhaes, PhD, is in the process of preparing the edited volume entitled "Emotional Expression: The Brain and The Face" (Volume 8).

If your area of research fits in well in this edited volume, and have a paper to be interest for this book, we invite you to submit for consideration a paper (theoretical or research) on your area of research. This Project has become a global inter­action and scientific production tool, of inestimable usefulness in the academic world in the Studies in Brain, Face and Emotion series.

The edited book will be peer-reviewed and will require APA guidelines in manuscript submission. The paper should be no more than thirty (30) pages.

This book will be edited by Professor Freitas-Magalhaes, Ph.D., University Fernando Pessoa Health Sciences School.

If you are interested, the deadline for submission of your paper is July 31, 2016. After that, the papers will be reviewed and the status of your paper will be sent to you in eight weeks.

The overriding idea is stimulate colleagues to reflect on the brain-face-emotion triad, with the consequent empirical and experimental, shared and proactive approaches and so the book is a guide for those interested in a psychobiological and neurobiological approach to the study emotion and facial expression, and will be useful to academics and practitioners as well as students in the area of Emotion Psychology and will be published by UFP Press, and indexed in APA´s PsycINFO database.

This series involves colleagues, partners and internationally-renowned professors and researchers, e.g., of USA - The American Psychological Association (APA), the Columbia University, the Mount Sinai School of Medicine (Dep. of Neurology), the City University of New York, the Baylor College of Medicine, the University of Florida, the Clark University, the University of Colorado, the Eastern Kentucky University, the Fayetteville State University, the University of West Alabama, the University of Massachusetts Amherst, the Rutgers - The State University of New Jersey, the National Center for Voice and Speech (Denver), the University of Hawaii; UK - The University of Oxford (Dep. of Psychiatry), the King´s College London (Institute of Psychiatry), the Leeds Metropolitan University; AU - The Monash University (Faculty of Medicine), the University of Tasmania, La Trobe University; In - The University of Delhi, the Indian Institute of Information Technology, the Rajiv Ghandi Institute of Information Technology; DE - The University of Ulm, the Free University, the Berlin University of the Arts; IT – The Centre for Science, Society and Citizenship, Roma Tre University, CH - The University of Zurich; RO - The National School of Political Studies and Public Administration; SP – University of Valencia; AT - The University of Innsbruck; RUS - The Southern Federal University;

We want to have the book published in October 9, 2016.
