The Department of Cognitive, Linguistic, and Psychological Sciences (CLPS) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Social Psychology, beginning July 1, 2015. Research focus is open, but we especially value programs of research that cross traditional boundaries of topics and methodology. Successful candidates have (1) a track record of excellence in research, (2) a well- specified research plan that is likely to lead to research funding, (3) a readiness to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring, and (4) the ability to connect to other areas of the CLPS department. Following the integration of the Department of Psychology and the Department of Cognitive and Linguistic Sciences in 2010, the new CLPS department moved into a dedicated state-of- the-art building in the heart of campus. The department offers a highly interdisciplinary research environment in the study of mind, brain, behavior, and language. Strong connections also exist to the Brown Institute of Brain Sciences and the Humanity-Centered Robotics Initiative.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Curriculum vitae, publication reprints and preprints of most recent work, a maximum two-page statement of research, a one-page statement of teaching, and three letters of reference should be submitted on-line as PDFs to http://apply.interfolio.com/26542. Applications received by November 15 are assured full review. Position will be open until filled.
PhD requirements must be completed before July 1, 2015.
