Dear Colleagues,

The University of Toronto and the TANG Foundation are pleased to announce the creation of a new award in psychology, the TANG Prize for Achievements in Psychology. The award is open to any psychologist or researcher in a closely related field who "has left an indelible mark on the field." The winner will receive $100,000 CAD in addition to being invited to give a public lecture at the University of Toronto.

There are no eligibility restrictions for the TANG Prize, other than the subject area of the research (i.e., psychology). We are seeking excellence. For detailed information on how to submit an application or nomination, please see the attached announcement or visit psych.utoronto.ca/tangprize

Please let all your colleagues know about the TANG Prize, and feel free to distribute this announcement widely. Also, please think about whom your real heroes in social/personality psychology are and then nominate them! It would be wonderful for a social/personality psychologist to win the inaugural TANG Prize for Achievements in Psychology!

Best wishes,
Elizabeth Page-Gould
