The African American Studies Program and Department of Psychology invite applications for a tenure-track joint appointment position at the assistant professor level, beginning August 2007. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in psychology or a closely related field. Area of research specialization is open; however, applicants should have a particular interest in issues of culture, race, diversity, and/or multicultural dimensions of community, clinical, I/O, school, or developmental psychology. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in the African American Studies program and undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology. Applicants should demonstrate the potential for a strong and externally fundable research program.
