The University of Central Florida, with its hub in Orlando, is a dynamic and growing research and teaching-oriented metropolitan and regional institution with more than 45,000 students. The Department of Psychology is the largest in the College of Arts and Sciences with 45 full-time faculty members, over 2500 undergraduate majors, and nearly 150 Ph.D. graduate students in Clinical, Human Factors/Applied Experimental, and Industrial/Organizational Programs. UCF is located near downtown Orlando on a 1200-acre campus within one hour of the Atlantic Ocean, Kennedy Space Center, Disney World complex, and other entertainment and cultural attractions. Within the university and locally, there are numerous opportunities for collaboration with other academic departments, UCF institutes and centers of excellence, mental health organizations, government research agencies, entertainment centers, and the aerospace industry.

We are currently seeking individuals to fill two INSTRUCTOR positions at the Orlando campus and one INSTRUCTOR position on the Palm Bay campus of our Southern Region. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Psychology by the starting date for the positions, August 2006. Candidates from all areas of specialization within Psychology will be considered. Salaries are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Principal duties will be to provide undergraduate instruction in core preparation areas (e.g., Research Methods, Basic Learning, and Physiological Psychology) and also in the areas of restricted (e.g. Social Psychology) and diversity electives (e.g. Cross-Cultural Psychology, Psychology of Women).
