JOB SUMMARY:
Working within a dynamic, rapidly growing online relationship building service, the successful candidate will be part of a team that develops and validates psychometrically sounds tests of individual personality characteristics. This successful candidate will display broad based theoretical knowledge of current formulations of personality as well as in-depth knowledge of advanced psychometric techniques (both classical and item response theory).

Responsibilities include the design and oversight of large-scale validation studies, direction of data analysis and the application of findings to specific products developed by the company. Familiarities with a wide range of analytic and decision-tree analysis is useful. A major component of this position will also be the development of feedback from the psychometric instruments that is appropriate for web-based delivery.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• A Ph.D. in behavioral sciences is required
• A minimum of 8 years post-graduate experience
• Strong quantitative background
• Expertise in the development of appropriate content to be provided to users of eHarmony.com on their individual personality characteristics
• Able to express feedback to eHarmony.com users that is supportive and empathetic
• Experience working in a business environment is preferred.
• On an academic scale this position will be filled at the equivalent of an Associate or Full Professor although exceptional candidates at an Assistant Professor level may be considered.
