POST DOCTORAL SCHOLAR -- DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY, UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA AT SANTA BARBARA

Available May 1, 2006. Funding for two or more years possible. Responsibilities are to assist the PI (Dr. Brenda Major) in conducting research on psychophysiological (cardiovascular, hormonal) and psychological responses to perceived discrimination. Successful applicant will have experience in psychophysiology, particularly measurement and analysis of cardiovascular responses, experimental design, and strong statistical and writing skills. Ph.D. in social and/or health psychology preferred. Background in intergroup or interpersonal relations and/or emotion desirable.

The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service. Salary is $40K.
