At the Faculty of the Humanities, Department of Communication, the following positions are available per February 1, year 2000 or as soon as possible after this date.

Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in social psychology

(Position no. 215-37)

Following elements will be included in the overall evaluation of the applicants:

„h In terms of research, work which documents deep as well as broad insight into the theory of social psychology will be emphasized. Furthermore, it is desirable, however not required, that the research relate to an area of applied psychology.

„h In terms of teaching, the position is, at this point, connected to the psychology education. It is a prerequisite that the applicant possesses qualifications within preparation and conducting of courses within the theory of social psychology and other psychological disciplines. Additionally, the applicant must be able to supervise the students' project work.

„h Normally, daily presence at the Department is implied

„h Certain administrative tasks in relation to the study are implied in the position which, as the project supervision, must be attended in Danish

„h Employees who do not speak Danish are expected to acquire the necessary proficiencies within a period of approx. three years.

„h list of publications

„h publications to be taken into account (max. 10 of the most relevant publications can be submitted)

„h list of all enclosures. Each enclosure must be numbered and marked with the applicant¡¦s name.

The applications will be assessed by an assessment committee. The assessment committee may include other publications in the assessment proces. In such cases the applicant will be notified and will be asked to submit the necessary copies of the material. If publications drawn up in collaboration with other authors are submitted, a declaration must be attached stating the extent and nature of the applicant¡¦s contribution to each publication. This declaration must be certified by at least one of the other authors.

Each applicant will receive the part of the assessment that regards themselves. The applicants may be called in for an employment talk and/or a trial lecture.

Appointment is pursuant to Ministerial Order No. 650 of August 31, 1998 and the Faculty of Humanities¡¦ additional regulations on this order (only availabe in Danish). The documents can be found on the web address: www.auc.dk/fak-hum/index.htm

Salary and other conditions of appointment are those agreed between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Organisations of Academic Graduates.
