| Health/Social Psychology | | | | | | | Health/Social Psychology Position The Department of Psychology at North Dakota State University announces a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning 15 August 2005. We also invite inquiries about a more advanced position, which would be contingent on funding. We are seeking someone with a specialization in health and social psychology to support our Ph.D. program in Health/Social Psychology. We expect a person hired for this position will seek external funding from the National Institutes of Health or similar granting agencies. The minimum requirements for the position include evidence of research potential with human participants, teaching promise, completed Ph.D. by starting date, an ability to interact effectively with colleagues and students, and effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Preferred qualifications include a record of research productivity, research interests that complement the health/social faculty interests, teaching experience, and the ability to teach existing courses in our undergraduate and graduate curriculum. Our 14-member department offers excellent human research facilities, start-up funds, and a teaching load of 3 courses per year. Course needs include a graduate course in health/social, undergraduate and graduate courses in quantitative methods, and undergraduate courses in social, health, and introductory psychology.
