The Department of Psychology at the University of Evansville is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a tenure-track assistant professor position. The position is for the 2005-2006 academic year and begins August 2005. The candidate must have a Ph.D. A candidate with specialization in social-cognitive psychology will be given the highest consideration. The candidate should be qualified to teach the following psychology courses: Introductory, Statistics, Experimental Design, Cognitive Psychology, and Social Psychology. The University places greatest value on teaching performance; in addition, there is significant focus on undergraduate research, especially within the Psychology program.

The University of Evansville is an independent, church-related, selective admissions University located in a city of 135,000 in southwestern Indiana. It offers several colleges of instruction including liberal arts and sciences, engineering, business, health sciences, and education. Enrollment numbers approximately 2400 full-time students. The University also includes a study-abroad campus in England, Harlaxton College.
