Applications are invited for a 24-36 month Postdoctoral post in the department of Experimental Psychology (fixed 24 month contract with an option for a 12 month extension).

The successful applicant will work with Matt Crawford on an ESRC-funded project entitled "On the spontaneousness of trait inference and trait transference". Post-doctoral applicants are expected to hold a Ph.D. in experimental social psychology and have a strong background in Social Cognition. Expertise in the area of social inference and social memory is desirable but not necessary. Applicants are expected to have had training in data analysis, computer experimentation, programming (although training on the specific experimental software will be made available), and extensive experience collecting laboratory-based data.

Grade : Grade 1A
Salary : £19,460-£29,128

Closing Date : Review of applications will begin 17 September 2004 and will continue until the position is filled. Starting date 1 October 2004 or soon thereafter (some flexibility).
