COGNITION. The Psychology Department at LEHIGH UNIVERSITY invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, effective Fall 2005. We seek a cognitive psychologist with interests in higher thought processes or the interface between higher level cognition and more fundamental processes of perception, attention, learning, memory, and language. Specific areas of interest might include knowledge representation and thinking, metacognition, learning, executive and strategic processes, the language-cognition interface, or cultural variation in cognition, among others. Quantitative strength including ability to contribute to graduate training in statistics and/or modeling is a plus. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a vigorous research program that will attract external funding and contribute to the department's distinctive undergraduate and Ph.D. programs (see www.lehigh.edu/~inpsy/inpsy.html). Ability to contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives in Information Science and Technology/Cognition and Communication in the Digital World is also important.
