SOCIAL COGNITION. The Psychology Department at LEHIGH UNIVERSITY invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, effective Fall 2004. Preference will be given to social psychologists with a cognitive orientation (broadly construed) and whose primary research interests are in the domain of either attitudes/persuasion/social influence or the self. Quantitative strength is required, and teaching responsibilities will include an introductory level course in graduate level quantitative methods The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a vigorous research program that will attract external funding and contribute to the department's distinctive undergraduate and Ph.D. programs (see www.lehigh.edu/~inpsy/inpsy.html). Ability to contribute to interdisciplinary programs in Women’s Studies, Cognitive Science, Environmental Studies, or Globalization and Social Change is also desirable.
