Applications are invited for a two-year post-doctoral position to collaborate with Drs. Carol Dweck and Jennifer Mangels on a Department of Education (DOE) funded EEG/ERP research project (start date: 9/01/03). The project examines the influence of theory of intelligence and stereotype threat on the neurophysiological correlates of learning and memory, using EEG/ERP and other psychophysiological methods (ECG, SCR). Opportunities to extend research to fMRI (1.5 T) and combined EEG/fMRI are available. Candidates should have a PhD in cognitive or social psychology, with some background in neuroscience. Some experience with EEG/ERP recording and analysis methods, as well as programming with C++, Matlab, and/or Presentation is desirable. Good analytical and communication skills are essential. The annual salary will be in the range from $30,000 to $40,000 depending on qualifications.
