Available August 1, 2002 (start date flexible). Funding for one to three years possible. Primary responsibilities are to assist the PI (Dr. Brenda Major) in designing and conducting research on self-esteem, emotions, and coping processes (social comparisons, attributions, disengagement) in response to stigma, discrimination, and group threat. Successful applicant must possess strong statistical and writing skills, and provide evidence of same. Interest and background in intergroup relations, emotion, nonconscious processes, and/or social identity also desirable. Ph.D. in social psychology preferred.
