Area of Research: Social Psychophysiology: Personal and Professional Thriving in Diverse Societies

Description of duties: Designing and administering field studies and experiments on the
role of friendship networks and colleague networks on social interactions, stress and resilience, and career achievements. This will involve recruitment, regular interaction with, and monitoring of adults from the community. The postdoctoral fellow will also be responsible for supervising undergraduate research assistants and collaborating with graduate students in the lab. Training will include physiological data collection, “scoring” physiological data, experience sampling, large-scale data management, advanced statistical analyses, and open-science practices.

Salary: $32,000 (CAD) plus benefits

Required qualifications: PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, Statistics, or a relevant field; Experience designing and running social psychological or physiological studies or simulations; Writing and publishing peer-reviewed publications; Training in higher-level statistics with knowledge of R, SAS, or SPSS.

Preferred qualifications: Experience with community sample participants or field studies; Experience with psychophysiology, neuroendocrinology, or advanced quantitative methods; Engagement with open science practices.
