The Department of Psychological Science in the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in social psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor. Appointment is set to begin August 2017. Applicants with research expertise in diversity science, including but not limited to stereotyping and prejudice, intergroup relations, multiculturalism, and self/identity, will be prioritized. A competitive startup package is available.

This position will contribute to the Department of Psychological Science’s commitment to diversity and the University of Arkansas’s stated mission of enhancing the learning of our students and better preparing them to engage in an increasingly diverse and global community.

Successful applicants must have (1) a PhD in psychology by the date of appointment; (2) a record of, or demonstrated potential for, outstanding research achievement and acquisition of external funding; (3) the ability to contribute to the Department’s teaching mission in both graduate-level training and undergraduate instruction (including diversity-related courses); (4) demonstrated experience in or commitment to working with diverse students; and (5) demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and collegiality.
