Catholic University of Chile, ranked #1 in South America by QS, invites applications for a highly selective postdoc researcher appointment.
The postdoc will have the opportunity to develop top-notch research using psychological theories to understand management issues. Such development will give the postdoc the chance to publish in management journals and eventually become faculty in management (for instance, CEO decision-making, entrepreneurship, organizational behavior, managerial cognition, emotion, biases, and sustainability issues in management).
Applicants should hold a PhD in Psychology with interest to study management using psychological theories. The applicants need to have publications/working papers in top journals in areas such as social psychology, cognition, emotion, or judgment and decision-making and have interest in investigating phenomenon of management (i.e., studying CEOs, entrepreneurs). The postdoc will be expected to carry out research in teams with our existing management and organization faculty. The initial appointment is for 8 months and candidates, upon excellent performance, can be sponsored to another appointment up to 3 additional years. The position has no teaching or service obligations, but such opportunities are available.
Chile is the first developed economy in South America. Santiago has a mild, Mediterranean climate. The University enjoys good reputation, and the allowance for the postdoc is around 3000 US Dollars. Knowledge of Spanish is NOT required.
The position is expected to start from March 2016 onwards.
