Tenure-track faculty position available August 19, 2016. Responsibilities: instruct and supervise in the social psychology master’s program as well as related master’s and doctoral programs; contribute to the department’s scientist-professional training model and social justice mission; be a productive scholar and effective teacher; be dedicated to professional/public service. Minimum qualifications: doctorate in social psychology by August 19, 2016; ABD candidates will be considered only if all degree requirements will be completed by August 19, 2016; demonstrate professional competence in applied social psychology. Preferred qualifications: expertise in applied psychology with a focus on community interventions, prevention, or policy linked with, for instance, health, health disparities, mental health, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, physical ability, poverty, children, youth, violence, or employment. The department currently offers the M.A. in Counseling (CORE accredited Rehabilitation Counseling; CACREP accredited Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling tracks), M.A. in Social Psychology (General or Applied), Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology (APA accredited), and undergraduate minor in Interpersonal Relations.
