Applications are invited for the post of University Lecturer in the general area of social psychology in the Department of Psychology. In addition this post includes a prestigious Teaching Fellowship at Churchill College. The post is available from 1 April 2016, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Applicants should have a PhD and evidence of significant research achievements in social psychology (eg experimental social psychology, social cognition, psychometrics), together with experience in successfully developing and delivering undergraduate teaching, including in research methods and statistics, at university level. Ability to contribute to the Department's MPhil Degree in Social and Developmental Psychology is desirable.

Standard duties for a University Lecturer include teaching and research, examining, supervision and administration. The post is based in central Cambridge.

In addition to providing departmental teaching support for the BA degree arising from study in the Psychological and Behavioural Sciences or Natural Sciences Tripos, the post additionally includes a prestigious Fellowship at Churchill College, which attracts further pensionable stipends (payable by Churchill College) in addition to the University Lecturer stipend. Serving in this role involves a commitment to provide 80-120 hours of undergraduate supervision teaching per annum to students in small groups at Churchill College, and acting as Director of Studies for PBS. The appointee will be elected as Title A Teaching Fellow of Churchill College.
