The Department of Psychology at Marquette University invites applications for a social psychology, tenure track position at the assistant professor level, beginning August 2016. Responsibilities include: developing an independent research program with potential for extramural funding, undergraduate and graduate teaching, and research mentorship of undergraduate and graduate students. Research focus is open to any area of social psychology, e.g., attitudes, social cognition, interpersonal relations, group processes. We are especially interested in applicants who can contribute to the training of undergraduate and graduate students on diversity-related topics via their research, teaching, or service duties.

The Department consists of 18 full-time faculty members, and offers a BA in psychology and an APA-accredited Ph.D. clinical psychology program (see http://www.marquette.edu/psyc/ for more information). The Department and University support junior faculty by providing reduced initial teaching and service responsibilities, laboratory space, competitive start-up funds, research participation pool access, department computer lab, mentoring programs, internal funding mechanisms, and junior faculty sabbaticals.
