Psychology, Associate or Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track), University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Job Description: Teach health psychology, general psychology and contribute to the core courses in Psychology including courses in quantitative methods. Develop courses in your area of interest that complement the psychology program. Pursue scholarly projects relevant to departmental and institutional missions that also contribute to existing department strengths. These include developing an active undergraduate research program and providing departmental and institutional service on committees. Normal teaching load is 12 hours per semester; research-active faculty normally receive a 3-hour per semester reduction in teaching.

Required: Ph.D. in Psychology with a focus in Health psychology, completed at the time of appointment; evidence of ability to effectively teach health psychology courses; evidence of ability to establish an independent research program that involves undergraduate students; and ability to seek external funding.

Preferred: College/University teaching experience; evidence of a research program in health psychology or closely-related field; evidence of ability to contribute to department service; ability to seek external funding; and ability to establish good relations with the community in order to develop health psychology internships for undergraduate psychology majors; and willingness to collaborate with health science program in research and service.
