The Howard University Department of Psychology invites applications for three faculty positions for Fall, 2015. Candidates expected to work collaboratively to help maintain a strong student-centered program. Requirements include Ph.D. in Psychology by the time of appointment, an active research program, strong commitment to quality teaching, and potential to attract, or an established record of extramural funding.

Two positions are in Quantitative Psychology. Areas of specialty can include quantitative, social, personality, developmental, cognitive, biopsychology and health. One position is a tenure-track assistant Professor; the other is an open-rank, tenure-track/ tenured Professor (Assistant, Associate, Full). Successful candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate statistics and research methods courses, and courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.

The third position is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology ideally with a focus on health disparities. Specific area of research is open. Special attention given to candidates with an expertise in neuropsychology who are able to teach graduate courses in neuropsychological assessment and psycho-pharmacology and undergraduate courses in the candidate’s areas of expertise. Successful candidate will have a doctorate in clinical psychology from an APA accredited psychology Ph.D. program and be licensed or license eligible.
