The Department of Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Social Psychology, to begin in September, 2015.

Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in Social Psychology (or related field) with demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching undergraduate introductory and advanced courses in Social Psychology and in Statistics, and a demonstrated potential for excellence in research. Specific focus of research is open, with priority given to candidates whose interests overlap with the Clinical or the Developmental and Brain Sciences Ph.D. programs in areas such as developmental social, social-cognitive, social neuroscience, or socio-cultural influences on behavior. Successful candidates will have the option for developing advanced courses within their specialty area. Collaboration with the Sociology Department and the Center for Survey Research is also possible. UMass Boston has strong traditions of diversity and interdisciplinary research and seeks candidates who will further these traditions.
