Ipek University invites applications for a faculty position (open rank) in the field of Psychology. The area of specialization is open; however, preference will be given to candidates with a focus on industrial and organizational psychology, developmental psychology, health psychology, forensic psychology, traffic psychology, family psychology, or clinical child psychology.

We encourage applications from candidates with an excellent research record in psychology. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, to acquire external research grants, and to undertake undergraduate and graduate research supervision and teaching.

The successful candidate must have a PhD in Psychology. They must also have an established record of excellent quality scholarly research and publications, and demonstrated commitment to and innovation in teaching. The successful candidate will also be expected to perform standard professional and administrative activities typical of a department and/or university.

With a beautifully designed campus in the capital city of Ankara, Ipek University positions itself to become a unique “Research-1” university in Turkey that specializes in the fields of Arts and Social Sciences. Founded in 2011, the University offers a select number of degrees for students who are admitted after a highly competitive entrance examination. The language of instruction is English.

Within this setting, the newly founded Department of Psychology is committed to providing students with significant educational opportunities offering an international perspective. The vast majority of the faculty in the university holds Ph.D. degrees from international universities. As a research-oriented university the teaching load is two courses per semester.

A Ph.D. degree from a well-reputed international university and advanced methodological skills are highly desirable. Senior applicants are expected to have a strong publishing record, and junior applicants should show strong publishing potential in established journals.

Salary and Benefits: Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Ipek University also offers a complete range of employee benefits. In addition, significant publication bonuses and international travel allowances are offered. Contracts will be signed for a period of three years, and will be renewed based on research performance.
