The Department of Psychology at THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI (http://www.olemiss.edu) invites applications for a full-time, one-year visiting assistant professor in experimental psychology to begin in August 2001. The applicant may be eligible to apply for the tenure-track position in experimental psychology expected to begin in August 2002. Applicants must be able to contribute, in the form of teaching (2 courses per semester) and research supervision, to the undergraduate and graduate programs. We especially encourage applications from persons who can teach a laboratory in experimental psychology and cognitive psychology at the undergraduate level and multivariate statistics at the graduate level. Applicants should have or be near the completion of the Ph.D. The Department of Psychology at The University of Mississippi has 15 full-time faculty members, offers the Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (APA-accredited) and Experimental Psychology (with concentrations in behavioral neuroscience, cognitive psychology, and social psychology), and has a large number of undergraduate majors.
