We are seeking a talented researcher with strong administrative skills to support development of a new interdisciplinary graduate training initiative at USC that integrates the study of social behavior with research on neuroscience. The successful candidate will be a key member of the research team of Wendy Wood (Program Director), and serve as a resource to other researchers working in her lab. The candidate also will help to organize and support training activities with multiple faculty and students across the Dornsife College at USC.

The position is designed for a researcher with expertise in automaticity/habit or social influence who is interested in integrating research across brain and behavior. As part of this position, candidates may attain additional training in neuroscience and in psychophysiology, taught by faculty in USC’s Brain and Creativity Institute and the Dornsife Cognitive Neuroscience Imaging Center. The strongest applicants will already have a demonstrated record of research that integrates biological and social psychological levels of analysis. The position is ideal for new Ph.D.s in social psychology seeking to further establish themselves as interdisciplinary scholars in a supportive, exciting academic environment in beautiful southern California. The position is renewable for one year, pending funding.

Applicants should submit their vita, a statement of their research interests and administrative experience, along with three letters of recommendation. The position will begin August 1, 2012. Applications and questions about the position can be sent to kressel@usc.edu. Review of applications for the position will begin May 1, 2012 and will continue until the position is filled.
