Mississippi State University’s Research and Training Center on Blindness and Low Vision (RTC) invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Research Professor position within the College of Education. The mission of the RTC is to enhance employment and independent living outcomes for individuals who are blind or visually impaired through research, training, education, and dissemination. The major responsibility of this position is conducting applied social science research; this will involve assisting in the conduction of established studies, data collection including survey development, data analysis, preparation of peer-reviewed publications, design of new research studies, and development of proposals for external funding, among other activities. Qualifications are a Terminal degree in rehabilitation, psychology, education, sociology, or a closely related field; evidence of research productivity; two years experience conducting applied research; expertise in data management, quantitative methodology, and statistical analyses; and excellent writing skills.
