The Psychology Department at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) seeks to fill a tenure-track position in social/personality psychology at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, to begin August 2011; final authorization of the position is subject to availability of state funding. The successful candidate will have an established program of research and make a contribution to teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Candidate must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or related field. Although area of specialization within social/personality psychology is open, preference will be given to candidates who could contribute to teaching and research in the Science of Diversity, broadly defined (e.g., race, gender, sexual orientation, SES, disability status), and in research methods and analysis techniques that facilitate the study of these issues.
