The Department of Psychology at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 2010.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or ABD status in social psychology or a closely related field. Preference will be given to candidates with an ability to teach undergraduate social psychology and some combination of the following undergraduate courses (listed in order of importance): health psychology, industrial/organizational psychology, research design and statistics, evolutionary psychology, positive psychology. Applicants will also demonstrate promise for a high-quality research program, a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, and a strong commitment to a collegial environment. Preference will be given to candidates with high quality teaching and research experience. Responsibilities will also include supervising student research, involving undergraduate students in your own research, and serving on departmental, school and university committees.
