Dean of College of Humanities and Social Sciences
Institution/Organization: North Carolina State University
Job Location: North Carolina, U.S.A.
Job Type: Tenure-Track
Contact Person: Amy Halberstadt

Colleagues:

North Carolina State University is currently engaged in a dean search for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHASS). At the same time deliberations are underway to align the Psychology Department with CHASS rather than with the College of Education and Psychology. The steering committee considering this issue will report to the Provost by December 1 with a start date for the move of January 1. Thus, by January 1, the Psychology Dept will be in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. For this reason, we would like to ensure that qualified psychologists are in the applicant pool for the search. I am assured by the search committee that psychologists will receive full consideration. If you are interested in this position or if you know of a good candidate please refer to the position specification at:

http://www.ncsu.edu/provost/deansearches/chass/posspecfinal.html

and the advertisement at:

The Psychology Department at NC State has five graduate specialty areas: developmental, ergonomics & experimental, human resource development, industrial/organizational & vocational, and school. We also anticipate a major faculty expansion in the near future. Anyone wishing to discuss the dean search, please feel free to contact me (halbers@unity.ncsu.edu).
