Applications are being accepted for full-time research positions, to start September 2009. The successful candidates should plan to pursue their Ph.D. in the Psychology Department at the New School for Social Research while working under the supervision of Dr. Jeremy Ginges on a National Science Foundation funded research project, "Sacred values and biological antecedents of political conflict."

Applicants should be smart, open-minded and adventurous with a strong academic interest in social psychology and inter-group relations. Also of importance is a command of experimental methodology and statistics, and research experience in the social sciences. Applicants of a non-English speaking background are particularly encouraged, but mastery of written and spoken English is essential.

Please note that to pursue a PhD the candidates must be admitted to the graduate program of the Department of Psychology. Applications to the graduate program are due January 16. Although successful candidates will be helped through the process, application to the graduate program is independent from application to these fellowships.
