The Department of Psychology at the University of Toledo invites applications for two tenure-track positions in Social Psychology at the Assistant Professor level to begin August, 2009. The area of research is open and the primary criteria for candidates are the potential to establish an outstanding research program and the ability to attract external funding. Applicants with research interests that relate to stress, anxiety, or health are especially welcome. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Psychology by August, 2009.

The Department has a Ph.D. program in Experimental Psychology and an APA accredited Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology. The University of Toledo is the third largest public university in the state of Ohio and has an enrollment of over 20,000 students. The university is situated on a wooded 200-acre suburban campus containing nine different colleges, including both law and medical colleges. Local amenities include an on-campus child care center, good public and parochial schools, one of the nation's top 10 art museums, an excellent symphony orchestra, an outstanding metropolitan park system, major hospitals, and many other attractions. Toledo is near many lakes and forested areas, and within easy driving distance of the cultural and intellectual resources of Ann Arbor, Detroit, and Cleveland.
