Columbia College, Columbia, SC. Tenure-track position available August 2008. The Department of Human Relations seeks applicants for an assistant professor position. Terminal degree required with a specialization or demonstrated research interest in conflict studies, peace studies, diversity and cultural issues or related subjects. The Human Relations Department includes a Master’s level graduate program in Human Behavior and Conflict Management and undergraduate majors in behavioral science, child and family studies, psychology, and social work. This position will include teaching graduate courses in a part-time coed weekend program for working adults and undergraduate courses in the Women’s College and coed Evening Program, student advising, and graduate program administration. Columbia College, a United Methodist affiliated institution, is a liberal arts college for women with co-educational evening and graduate programs for adults. We have a student population of 1500, approximately 40% of whom are African-American. We believe that our enviable diversity enriches the learning experience for all students.
