The New School for Social Research and Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts seek applicants for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor within the Department of Psychology to begin Fall 2018.

We are seeking applicants who complement existing research strengths in cognitive, social, or developmental psychology. We are particularly, but not exclusively, interested in candidates with a research program which includes an interest in the area of emotion (broadly conceived), embodied cognition, consciousness and/or candidates who use field-research or real-world, digital data (“big data”) methods for analyzing human behavior.

The successful candidate should have an innovative program of research with potential to attract external funding. Our teaching load includes both graduate and undergraduate teaching. We seek candidates with promise of excellence in research and teaching.
